Charity begins closer to home

Travel.Radio is delighted to be working close to home with our newest charity partner ABTA LifeLine.

As the travel industry’s exclusive global digital radio station we will be supporting this amazing charity for past and present employees of ABTA members.

ABTA LifeLine offers a helping hand to travel colleagues by providing much needed practical, financial and emotional support during difficult times.

They provide assistance with crisis grants to help with rent, mortgage and utility bills, food vouchers to buy essential groceries and household items, expert advice on debt, benefits, budgeting, and housing through their partner Citizens Advice counselling and wellbeing support through their partner The Centre for Crisis Psychology.

LifeLine can also help with funeral costs, essential household appliances, school uniform and equipment and much more.

Each case is evaluated individually and with care, providing the attention to detail that it may need.

Debbie Henley, CEO of Travel.Radio, said: “The work that ABTA LifeLine does is absolutely critical to the mental wellbeing of our travel industry colleagues, especially after what they have faced over the past 18 months. We are thrilled to have them on board as a charity partner and will be doing all we can as a radio station to support them in their work and fundraising.”

Trudie Clements, Director, ABTA LifeLine, said: “I am delighted that LifeLine has teamed up with Travel Radio. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity not only to raise vital funds, but a brilliant way to reach people in our community who are struggling. Together we will make a real difference to the lives of many. “
