Travel.Radio goes truly 24/7 from today with the launch of the first ever through-the-night shows on weekdays.
Tony Francis will host Early Flight between 1am-5am from his studio in Belfast, Monday to Friday, replacing the current non-stop music show.
They will compliment the Weekend Red Eye shows, which are presented by Joe Malerba in New York.
Tony’s love of music started early, at the age of 13, when he was the resident DJ at his local youth club.
He has hosted shows on many radio stations over the years and earned the tag line "Your fun loving dependable friend". The reason for this title will soon become evident to listeners.
Tony now lives in Northern Ireland having moved there from Staffordshire in 2017. When he’s not on the airwaves he loves to unwind on a Caribbean cruise with a few cocktails.
Jason Hardy, Travel.Radio’s Station Manager, said: “This new exciting show plugs the last remaining gap in our schedule and we are delighted to secure Tony’s talents. From today there will be no un-hosted shows and we will be broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“This is particularly good news for the night owls who are already firm fans of Joe’s weekend shows, but also for our transatlantic listeners who can listen in “real” time. For those who can’t they can catch Tony On Demand on our website.”
